A Classic Addition to a Classic Home
It was love at first sight when we drove up to this classic River Oaks French inspired home. We immediately knew that each design decision must respect the existing architecture. Already beautifully detailed, any new additions should match in grace and eloquence.
The program was challenging: Expand the kitchen to include a ½ bath and mud room. Increase the living area size. Add a Master Bedroom Suite complete with bath and closet.
We used reclaimed and salvaged ship lap siding for the walls in the dining room, half bath and master suite. The kitchen bay window at the sink is a cantilever from the existing foundation in order to save a glorious oak tree.
When it was time for the owner to sell – guess what?
The house sold in a record 27 minutes!
